National Adoption Day, (www.nationaladoptionday.org), began nationally in California in 2000, and locally in Galveston County in 2004, (with the Foundation receiving 501(c)(3) status in 2007).
Its purpose is to help children who are in the custody of Children’s Protective Services due to physical and emotional abuse and who are currently with families who are ready to finalize their adoption but are unable to afford the adoption process.
Here in Galveston County, we celebrated our 10 year anniversary in 2013 and are looking forward to many more successful events uniting families!
