About Us

Galveston Adoption DayWe celebrated our 15 year anniversary in 2018 and are looking forward to many more successful events uniting families!

The Galveston County Adoption Day Foundation will sponsor our next annual Galveston County Adoption Day event on

November 28, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.

at the Galveston County Justice Center in Galveston, Texas.

National Adoption Day, (,  began nationally in California in 2000, and locally in Galveston County in 2004, (with the Foundation receiving 501(c)(3) status in 2007).

Its purpose is to help children who are in the custody of Children’s Protective Services due to physical and emotional abuse and who are currently with families who are ready to finalize their adoption but are unable to afford the adoption process.

During the event, the participating families appear before the presiding judge to finalize their adoption and legally become a family.  Many attorneys who practice in our area, local judges, the Galveston County District Clerk, and a host of volunteers from our community will donate their time, talents and services to help finalize adoptions for these families. Giving children permanency and stability with loving families is the best gift we can provide. Since its inception in Galveston County, the Foundation has facilitated the adoption of over 300 children.

In providing this service, we will also be organizing a day of celebration complete with food,  entertainment and gifts to the families to commemorate the occasion.

All donations to the foundation are tax deductible. You may contribute by making your monetary donation to the:
